Easter sunrise service Sunday in Fountain Park

Ministers in the Fountain Hills Christian Ministerial Association will offer prayers and scripture readings.

Easter sunrise service Sunday in Fountain Park

Pastor Trent Renner of Christ’s Church of Fountain Hills will deliver the sermon at the annual Easter sunrise service at 6 a.m. on Sunday, April 1, at the amphitheater in the northeast corner of Fountain Park.

His topic will be “Easter Whys.”

Ministers in the Fountain Hills Christian Ministerial Association will offer prayers and scripture readings.

Debbie Fisher and the ensemble from Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church will provide music and hymns.

Attendees should bring a chair to sit on during the service and a blanket for warmth.

Others pastors and churches involved in the sunrise service include Pastor Steve Bergeson and Pastor Kent Groethe of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church; Pastor Todd Forrest of Fountain Hills Christian Center; Deacon Dick Smith of Church of the Ascension, and Pastor Bill Good and Ken Brown of Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church.

Also, Pastor Bobby Brewer of North Chapel; Pastor Tony Pierce of First Baptist Church; Pastor Tom Daly of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pastor Rod Warembourg, Desert Creek Fellowship; David Iverson, Extended Hands Food Bank, and Rev. John Nichols of Harvest Bible Church.

There will be an offering for Extended Hands Food Bank, as well as a request to bring a non-perishable food item at the event.
