It’s time to get serious about the upcoming primary election. Those who are not registered to vote by next Monday, July 28, can forget about voting in the August 26 primary election.

Early ballots for the election will be placed in the mail Thursday, July 31. Those who are not on the permanent early voter ballot list need to make a request for one.

Those receiving the early ballot should mark it and return it as soon as possible.

It’s time to get serious about the upcoming primary election. Those who are not registered to vote by next Monday, July 28, can forget about voting in the August 26 primary election.

Early ballots for the election will be placed in the mail Thursday, July 31. Those who are not on the permanent early voter ballot list need to make a request for one.

Those receiving the early ballot should mark it and return it as soon as possible.

This should be done as soon as possible to avoid delays in the tallying of votes after Election Day. Registered voters may request an early ballot at the Maricopa County Recorder’s website.

Locally, the council seats are between one incumbent, Henry Leget, and three challengers – Lina Bellenir, Nick DePorter and Alan Magazine. Mayor Linda Kavanagh is running unopposed.
