My opponent for State Representative of District 23 has been painting himself to be a champion of public education. As a public school teacher of over 20 years, I assure you that he is neither a friend nor even a distant acquaintance of proper education funding.
I would like to remind Mr. Lawrence of where we are currently with his “love” for our schools: 49th in per pupil funding; second worst in class size; 50th in elementary teacher salaries; largest counselor to student ratios.
On behalf of my colleagues and the students we work with, Jay Lawrence, you should be ashamed of this legislative malpractice.

Voters may have also noticed that Jay has an exorbitant amount of street signs touting him as a conservative. His campaign donors might have a slight disagreement.
If you are tired of this type of rank hypocrisy, I ask for your vote. As your representative, I will increase education funding, decrease our private prison addiction, unmask dirty money and place oversight upon our public charter schools. I am proud to have taught for over two decades and I am hoping you will allow me to continue advocating for our children and grandchildren.
