For the first time the state has enabled the District to increase the amount of revenue it generates by 1.4 percent.

The Fountain Hills Unified School District has been able to compete with the best schools in the most affluent cities in Arizona. That’s due in part to the community’s understanding of education’s importance when it comes to property values.
Once again the Fountain Hills community is being asked to continue that support. A budget override that has been in effect for over a decade is once again up for renewal.
For the first time the state has enabled the District to increase the amount of revenue it generates by 1.4 percent.
The FHUSD Superintendent and local Governing Board members will continue to use these funds to supplement teacher salaries; offer free all-day kindergarten; and other investments that help FHUSD remain competitive with neighboring school districts.
I came to Fountain Hills 35 years ago – a time when we had no high school and just a single elementary school. As the community has matured, its commitment to education has endured.
As a founding member of the VisionFH committee and current Chair of the Town’s Strategic Planning Advisory Commission, I understand how important our school system is to the community.
The Fountain Hills Unified School District (FHUSD) has always been a significant contributor to community property values. It is essential that we continue to support our schools by renewing this essential funding.
