Eggstravaganza, pancake breakfast at Golden Eagle Park
Hunting for eggs
Posted
The town’s annual Eggstravaganza egg hunt is set for Saturday, April 12.
Children seven and younger may participate in the event, which begins promptly at 9 a.m. at Golden Eagle Park.
It takes less than two minutes for the 15,000 treat-filled eggs to be gathered, so children and their families should arrive early.
The Fountain Hills Noon Kiwanis Club will host a pancake breakfast starting at 8 a.m. that continues until 10 a.m.
The food trailer and seating area will be located in the south end of the park, adjacent to the basketball courts and large ramada. The full "Big K" breakfast is available for $6 and includes pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs and applesause; beverages for a separate price will be available as well.
The egg hunt will occur on the ballfields.
Hoppy Bunny will serve as mistress of ceremonies and will be joined by Peeps the Chicken. Both characters will be available for hugs and photos.
In addition to breakfast and the Eggstravaganza, the Fountain Hills Fire Department will have fire trucks for children to climb on, and firemen will answer questions. Inflatable bouncers also will be set up.
Other activities include Promiseland Preschool/Christ’s Church, bubbles activity; McDowell Mountain Community Church, cookie decorating; Fountain Hills Branch Library, egg decorating; and inflatable bounce houses.
The Town of Fountain Hills sponsors the event, along with Aleyne Larsen-Craig and MCO Realty, Inc.
