I want to start by saying thank you to every citizen resident who took the time to research the candidates and to cast a ballot last Tuesday. You did your duty and helped perpetuate our great democracy.

Once again I participated as an elections official/worker at a polling place on election day and then I helped in the hand count verification of ballots afterwards. Every time I work with the Elections Department I am impressed by the dedication to duty of the Maricopa County Elections Department and all the volunteers who help the election process.

I also gain new respect for the integrity of the electoral process. Everything is checked and double checked, usually with a minimum of two persons of differing parties.

During the processing of the election, including the counting of the votes, the workers from all parties work well together in friendship to ensure the integrity of the election, and they do it well.

Having been part of the process, I have no doubts that all the votes for all valid voters are processed and counted correctly. I have great faith in the final results.
