The Maricopa County Recorder's Office released final results from the primary election held Aug. 26. The results were official as of the end of the day Tuesday, Sept. 2.
The numbers for the Fountain Hills Town Council race were as follows: Mayor Linda Kavanagh, 4,246; Councilman Henry Leger, 3,614; Nick DePorter, 3,563; Alan Magazine, 3,183 and Lina Bellenir, 2,900. Leger, DePorter and Magazine are elected to the council and there is no need for a runoff in November. Mayor Kavanagh was unopposed for re-election.
Kavanagh's husband, Representative John Kavanagh won the GOP nomination for the Arizona State Senate from District 23 with 17,227 votes over Jeff Schwartz who received 15,075.

Kavanagh will face Democrat Paula Pennypacker for the Senate seat in the November General Election.
In the Arizona House incumbent Representative Michelle Ugenti was re-elected with 19,331 votes. Jay Lawrence is the winner of the second House seat with 13,573. Bob Littlefield received 12,451 votes and Effie Carlson 9,750.
There are no Democratic candidates for the Arizona House from District 23.
