The Fountain Hills Elks Lodge #2846 celebrated its annual Children's Christmas Shopping Spree and Party Saturday, Dec. 12.

Some 30 children were treated with a shopping spree at the Target store in Fountain Hills who assisted with the purchase of clothing, shoes and a toy. Each child was accompanied by a personal shopper representing the Elks Lodge.

The children, with their families, then celebrated with a spaghetti lunch at the Elks Lodge and enjoyed a surprise visit by Santa Claus.

This is an annual event held by the Elks Lodge, both nationally and locally. The Fountain Hills Lodge receives grants to sponsor the event from the Elks National Foundation, plus locally supports the program with additional funds obtained through member donations and fundraising

The Elks members expressed their gratitude for the support they receive from the Target employees, as well as the continued support from the community.
