Celebrating Arizona’s multifaceted relationship with the universe, Emmy nominated “Hip Historian” Marshall Shore will present “Arizona’s Cosmic Connections” at the Community Center on Wednesday, March 19, from 1 to 2:15 p.m.

Shore will highlight Arizona’s significant contributions to space exploration, sustainability, research and the enduring celestial stories of its Indigenous peoples, according to a press release.

Shore’s passion is uncovering the weird, the wonderful and the obscure treasures from the world’s past: the semi-forgotten people, places and events that have made the world what it is today.

Shore uses storytelling magic, found film footage, old photographs, ephemera and artifacts to bring Arizona’s heritage to life in entertaining and educational presentations.

The community is invited to take a journey through the Grand Canyon State’s rich heritage and innovative strides, showcasing how Arizona continues to illuminate the world’s understanding of the stars and beyond.

This presentation is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required by visiting fountainhillsaz.gov. (Course #2974).
