Fountain Hills has been my hometown for almost 25 years. I love this town and have worked very hard during my six years as mayor to make it the best place for all of us to live. It’s never an easy decision whether or not to seek another term, but when I discovered that Cecil Yates was interested in running for mayor, I knew that the town would be in very good hands.

Cecil has utilized his business and civic experience of municipal government and economic development to help create a better environment for the town’s residents, businesses and visitors. His credentials are extraordinary and his peers have praised and honored him for his great achievements.

As a councilman, Cecil represented our town on the boards of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, the Valley Metro RPTA and the Maricopa Association of Governments Domestic Violence Committee. He has also served his community well in the past on the Fountain Hills Business Vitality Advisory Commission, Planning and Zoning Commission, Sunridge Canyon HOA Board and the FHCCA Public Art Committee.

In his private life, Cecil manages the fifth largest commercial real estate portfolio in the State of Arizona. He was featured in the AZ Business Leaders Magazine edition of “Most Respected and Influential Business Leaders for 2018-19.” The AZ Commercial Real Estate Magazine named him “People and Projects to Know” for 2017.

Yet with all Cecil’s civic and business involvements, he still found time to coach T-ball and soccer.

I formally endorse Cecil Yates for mayor. He stands on no rigid political agenda. His heart and soul are with our community and he is a man of solid character, integrity, high morals and strong ethics.

Please join me in voting for Cecil Yates for mayor.
