When parents and students hear the word “club” regarding a school, they might think of an activity or subject focus, or perhaps boosters or athletics.
High school and middle school are where one might expect to find such clubs, too.
But Superintendent Cain Jagodzinski is willing to have select types of clubs or “enrichment programs” at McDowell Mountain Elementary School. He made a case for that new policy at the Fountain Hills Unified School District Governing Board’s Aug. 20 meeting — and was met with some apparent miscommunication.
