EPCOR water work on Kingstree

EPCOR Water has notified the Town of Fountain Hills and affected residents that it is working on water system improvements over the next several weeks on Kingstree Boulevard.
EPCOR is using its own crews as well as Degan Construction as a subcontractor to complete the work that includes replacing valves, service lines and meters as well as installation of a new main water line.
In a letter sent to neighbors, EPCOR Operations Manager for the Chaparral District John Lulewicz says residents will be experiencing temporary water outages during the work.
The procedure will be to notify neighbors of pending water service interruption at least 24 hours prior to the shut off.
However, Lulewicz said there may be emergency situations where advance notification will not be completed.
Notices will be made using door hangers that provide residents with the estimated time and duration of the water outage.
“While we strive to schedule this work to avoid outages early in the morning or later in the afternoon, that may not always be possible,” Lulewicz states.
“Additionally, if you have a hot water recirculation pump you will want to shut that off for the period of time identified on the door hanger.
“Please keep in mind that the ‘water on’ time will be an estimate, your water may come on prior to that or slightly past.”
As water service is turned back on work crews will flush the main line to remove air. Customers may have some air remaining in their lines. This can be taken care of by running the water taps in the house for a few minutes to clear the air out.
Any questions about the work or the scheduling may be directed to EPCOR customer service representatives at 1-800-383-0834.
