EPCOR Water will be working at Palisades Boulevard and Sunridge Drive over the coming week resulting in restrictions for traffic through the intersection.

This work is described as necessary to provide information for EPCOR as part of its ongoing effort to mitigate the water main issues on Sunridge Drive.

The work will begin on Thursday, Dec. 14, and is to be completed on Friday, Dec. 22.

During this timeframe, north- and south-bound Palisades will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

Also, left turns at the intersection will be prohibited during the work.

All barricading will be 24-hour, and remain in place until all pavement restoration is complete.

Motorists are urged to drive with caution through the work zone.

There have been several significant water main breaks in the line under Sunridge Drive over the past few years. EPCOR officials have attributed the problems to improper installation. The company is now developing a plan to completely replace a significant portion of the water main that runs north under Sunridge Drive.
