EVIT is gearing up to settle into a partnership with the Fountain Hills Unified School District, with classes to begin on the former Four Peaks Elementary School campus at the start of the 2017-18 academic year.
An update from EVIT will headline Wednesday night’s Governing Board meeting, including proposed initial classes to be offered at the local site.
FHUSD agreed to rent the Four Peaks campus to EVIT for an extended period this past fall, with the new tenant taking over operations, maintenance and upkeep of the campus while offering a unique and evolving roster of courses for both Fountain Hills students and those attending other districts.
Also making the evening’s agenda are two new high school classes, including Computer Science Discoveries and Computer Science Principals. This will cap off an evening playing host to a trio of extracurricular trips on both the discussion and action agenda, as well as a special presentation to the high school girls track team, which earned a state crown during the 2016 season.
This meeting is open to the public and will be hosted out of the District Learning Center Wednesday evening, Jan. 25, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
