Thank you for voting to support the tax override for our Fountain Hills Unified School District.
Our schools have long been rated as Excellent by the state, which translates to higher property values and students who are well prepared as they venture off to college.
My daughter Sarah, who graduated in 2013, can vouch for this as she attends Washington University in St. Louis.
This override has been in place since 1999 and I am asking our voters to empower our schools by voting to continue this current override, which is set to expire June 30, 2015.
It will cost us all about 13 cents a day, but in this case 13 is a lucky number as we maintain current technology and instructional resources as well as our existing buildings. Funds will also provide vans for student transportation vans as well as new furniture and equipment.
