The forecast calls for temperatures in Fountain Hills to top out at 107 Tuesday. However, temperatures across the Valley are expected to 110 for much of the week. Overnight lows will drop into the 80s.

Excessive heat remains in the forecast

The Excessive Heat Warning issued by the National Weather Service last week continues into the coming week.
Much of Arizona including the Phoenix area and Fountain Hills is covered by the warning.
The forecast calls for temperatures in Fountain Hills to top out at 107 Tuesday. However, temperatures across the Valley are expected to 110 for much of the week. Overnight lows will drop into the 80s.
A slight chance of thunderstorms is in the forecast for late in the week.
Residents are urged to confine outdoor activities to early morning hours and avoid the mid-day sun, and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
Be aware of the symptoms of heat exhaustion and take steps to avoid a heat emergency.
