Fountain Hills’ mayoral campaign reminds me of the 2016 presidential campaign. I am going to have to “hold my nose and vote for the least dreadful candidate.” However, with The Times’ report of external influence via donations, my choice of who to vote against was made clear.

Outside funding from pro-abortion, liberal organizations coupled with marijuana money sealed the deal for me. No Ginny Dickey! So I’ll vote for Cecil Yates.

It’s sad that we have these outside, fringe organizations funding a run for town government. Let’s make sure that we don’t let their toe in the door, and then keep Cecil honest by reminding him of our opposition to the poor decisions he previously made while on the council. I have a longer list of poor decisions Ms. Dickey made while on the council, but the aforementioned outside influence takes precedence in my decision to vote against her.
