While we were walking through the fair today, I spoke to one of the booth holders about how much she had to pay to rent a booth and she said $500, which seemed steep to her compared to other shows and to me, too! Then I asked if they’d been given a rebate for the wasted day. She said they hadn’t and that it was hard for vendors who had to pay for a wasted day at a hotel, meals, etc.
Wouldn’t it be a lovely gesture for the Chamber of Commerce to give them some of their money back? I think it would be the right thing to do and it would make it more likely they’d return next year.
