The Fountain Hills High School girls volleyball team ended their regular season with a tough loss to a strong and quick scoring Scottsdale Christian Academy Eagles, 3-0. The first set was close; the Lady Falcons only lost by five points. However, during the next two sets, the Eagles gained the upper hand thanks to their highly efficient offense.
“We didn’t perform to the best of our ability,” said Falcons head coach Olivia Long. “SCA is a good team, but so are the Falcons. I think ultimately nerves and the mental game got the best of the girls. There’s definitely room for improvement.”The Falcons performance wasn’t perfect, but the squad still showed a lot of heart, especially their two seniors Katherine Hampton and Savannah Miller. Hampton and Miller played well defensively in the middle and stood their ground.
