With my series of columns complete on the museum, I can now get back to talking about other items that are going on.
We had a nice visit with daughter Tammy and her three kids, five-year-old Brandon, three-year-old Brody and two-year-old Brylee. They were here for two weeks from West Orange, New Jersey.
I did mention they were here for the grapple storm, but after having 10 inches of real snow at home before they left, the kids were not overly impressed with our version of the white stuff.
While they were here, daughter Holly was able to come over from her Carlsbad, Calif. home with her two girls, four-year-old Brooke and two-year-old Addy.
With 13-year-old Hunter and his mom, daughter Dani, temporarily living with us, we had all six grandkids together in one place for the first time.
Of course it was time for family photos. Son Brent came over, daughter Toni flew in from Las Vegas for a few days and my mom came over from West Phoenix, giving us all four generations. We all gathered in our back yard with Holly directing the photo shoot and buddy Frank taking the shots that included Holly.
Incidentally, Holly’s photo business is really taking off. She has been studying photography since leaving the stage as a Broadway dancer. She began taking photos of young dancers at San Diego area dance school recitals. People were so impressed with her photos that they began inquiring about other photo possibilities. Soon she began building up her business with family and individual portraits. Recently she started doing weddings.
She entered and won a national photo contest with the prize of working directly with internationally known wedding photographer Sal Cincotta at his St. Louis studio for three days.
Holly said she learned a great deal, not only about photography, but she also gained invaluable tips about the business side of a photography operation.
She opened her own office last week in north San Diego. You can check out her website at hollyirelandphotography.com.

A number of you have asked me if our firm was responsible for the small Fountain Hills phone book they received in the mail recently.
The book was not produced by us.
It is published by a firm out of Salt Lake City called The Local Press.
The covers of their phone book and ours coincidentally have photos of Fountain Park scenes. Ours has two people sitting on a bench in the foreground and a close up photo of the fountain.
Incidentally, delivery of our book has been completed, so if you were missed, please call our office at 837-1925 and we will make arrangements to get you a copy.

The passing of Eddie Basha was a sad day for many of us. He was a friend of Fountain Hills, opening the first grocery store in the community in June 1974, long before the community had the population to support it.
He was on hand for the opening party that just about everyone in town attended. That store was in the present-day Goodwill location.
He was also on hand for the groundbreaking on our present store site as well as the grand opening.
