I attended the farce that Representative Schwikert tried to pass off as a town hall. It was a sham, a fraud, an abomination of democracy and a miscarriage of representation of all of us in the 6th Congressional District.
I was fortunate to have my call pre-screened, but I asked a real question that impacts the communities of color in our district, our county, our state and our nation. I asked about the House Bill 482, sponsored by fellow Arizona Rep. Gossar. I wanted to know if Representative Schwikert supports racial discrimination in public housing. I have asked several times, but his office has yet to comment.

Instead of substance, we had Gail talking about how mean Senator McCain is to President Trump. Or Christopher telling us how he was a Cruz supporter, but has been really impressed by how reasonable President Trump is acting in the White House. These were the types of questions that he cherry picked, and he would devote around six or seven minutes on. He spent between 12 and 14 minutes concerning the feelings of President Trump, out of a total allocation of sixty minutes.
I don’t always drink coffee, but I will make an exception for Representative Schwikert so I can ask him some real questions that affect real people and not worry so much about President Trump’s feelings.
