Father-daughter duo begins new travel agency in Fountain Hills

Applegate Travel combines adventure and purpose

As a boy, Richard Applegate remembers one particular family camping trip to Colorado. While everyone else was accounted for, one question echoed through the camp: “Where did Richard go?”

Ever the explorer, he was already halfway up a hillside in search of adventure.

That same spirit of discovery was passed down to his daughter, Bethany, who, from the age of 8, would happily trade Christmas presents for the chance to travel, eager to explore new places and learn about different people and cultures.
