I really feel sorry for people like Dorothy Wolovlek and Darlene Dean.
Their views about Islam and Muslims are not only an outrage but also sad. Seems to me they have never traveled outside of their comfort zones. I bet Dorothy and Darlene have never even sat down and read verses from the Koran. I question whether they even have read the Bible as well.
It’s people like Dorothy and Darlene who scare me more than anything --their attempted fear mongering and ignorance about Islam/Muslims do alarm me but also make me laugh.

Perhaps they have never seen a website or TV station outside of the right-wing conservative arena. Too bad. If they had spent some time in Muslim countries like I have and conversed with some Muslims overseas or even in their own neighborhood, perhaps they would realize how paranoid they appear to normal/educated people.
I certainly question why The Fountain Hills Times keeps entertaining people like Dorothy and Darlene but, hey, it’s a free country and they are entitled to their opinions/views -- ridiculous as they are in my own opinion.
I have no faith that Dorothy/Darlene will ever leave the shallow and sheltered world they live in right now. I would like to think that fellow Fountain Hills residents are informed and educated -- and realize that our beloved Dorothy and Darlene are minorities when it comes to their sad and ill-informed letters they so like to contribute to The Fountain Hills Times.
