I have been a volunteer at Fearless Kitty Rescue since it was founded in 2012. I have been impressed with the work that this small rescue has accomplished since the start, now having rescued well over 1,100 cats.

Part of being a rescue is the service it provides to Fountain Hills by taking in local cats and kittens. The Republic Services Grant has assisted us in doing this in past years. When the proposal was written, it was meant to cover expenses for 40 cats. All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and chipped. Expenses are estimated at $250 per cat, not counting food and housing.

This year, so far, we have rescued 45 local cats and kittens. Several of them had dire medical needs, requiring surgery and advanced medical care. Obviously, these cats were more expensive to save, but happily all are well and have been rehomed with wonderful adopters.

The Republic Services Grant is vital to our continued efforts to help local cats. So please use your Republic Service Points and vote for us to obtain this important grant, thus continuing our service to Fountain Hills.
