Fearless

Have you ever lost your pet? Have you found an animal that appears to be lost? What did you do? Who did you call? It’s a terrible feeling when your pet goes missing, especially with all of the animals, birds, reptiles, cars and other dangers that can injure and kill our beloved animals.

Fearless Kitty Rescue is proposing to help when you have lost or found a cat in the Fountain Hills area. There are many cats that are “dumped” in our community by people who can no longer care for them and have no idea where to take the cat. Many of these cats wander the neighborhoods hoping to find food and safety, but frequently are shooed away as a nuisance.

Or, the cat may be hit by a car or killed by an animal and left to die, both resulting in remains that decay and can result in environmental blight or disease that can be spread to other animals. And, if they do not die while out and about, they breed additional cats, thus adding to the stray population that may become feral and diseased.

Our Republic Services grant proposal is to help locate lost cats, reunite found/stray cats with their owners and adopt out cats without owners. We will work with owners who’ve lost their cats and work with local groups who frequently search for these kitties. We will map the location of reports of lost, stray and found cats and provide educational forums for individuals and groups in neighborhoods with a high number of these incidences, educating them on how to secure their cat inside, methods for finding a lost cat or an owner if a cat is found.

Please vote for Fearless Kitty Rescue through the Republic Rewards Community Grant program- a vote for animals and the environment.
