Fearless Kitty Rescue in Fountain Hills brought back 20 cats and kittens from Los Angeles following the L.A. Fires the night of Monday, Feb. 10.

Fearless Kitty Rescue partnered with Friends of Normie (friendsofnormie.org), a large independent foster-based cat rescue in Southern California that took in cats displaced by the fires.

“It was truly exciting to see the Fearless Kitty Rescue van pull up in front of the building with their cargo of rescued kitties in the back – all safely secured for the journey,” said Deanna Schlagenhaft, Fearless Kitty Rescue’s executive director.

Since their arrival, seven have already been adopted, according to Schlagenhaft. Six of the smallest kittens are in foster until they are big enough to be spayed/neutered and seven more are waiting for new homes.

“A few of the kitties, namely Duchess, La Nala and Neptune are timid and will need adopters who are patient and loving to take them home,” Schlagenhaft said. “They’ll need time to feel safe and loved so they can come out of their shells. As can be seen from the photos all three are beautiful kitties.”
