Fearless Kitty Rescue is participating in Best Friends Animal Society’s national “Bring Home Love Challenge” throughout December, giving the rescue a chance to earn a $2,000 grant for saving more lives during the holiday season.

“If we adopt out at least one more cat in December 2025 than we did in December 2024, we will receive $2,000,” said Deanna Schlagenhaft, Director of Fearless Kitty Rescue. “Last year we adopted 51 cats, so if 52 or more kitties find homes this month, we earn the gift.”

To encourage adoptions, the rescue is offering a “Name Your Own Adoption Fee” promotion for all cats six months and older. Adoption fees for kittens under six months remain $150.

Expanded adoption hours

To make it easier for families to meet adoptable cats during the busy holiday season, Fearless Kitty Rescue is expanding its hours to 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays (walk-ins welcome from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.) and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays:

There are also appointments available on Thursday evenings from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and appointments can be made at any time for personalized meet-and-greet sessions.

Fearless Kitty Rescue will also participate in the “Paws and Claus” holiday event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 13, at Kahoots Feed and Pet, 40509 N. Gantzel Rd., San Tan Valley.
