Arizona experienced warmer-than-normal conditions in February that led it to be the warmest February on record, according to the National Weather Service.
That heat won’t be letting up soon. According to National Weather Service meteorologist Gabriel Lojero, high temperatures will continue for at least the next 10-14 days.
“The outlook from the Climate Prediction Center during the winter as a whole was that we were going to be experiencing La Nina conditions,” Lojero said. “La Nina brings us warmer and drier conditions, but this was anticipated.”
