Along with the latest school supplies and trendy wardrobes, some local schools require additional fees be paid for certain clubs, sports and services. Following is a list of those fees. All fees are subject to change.

Fees: Time to budget for the school year

Along with the latest school supplies and trendy wardrobes, some local schools require additional fees be paid for certain clubs, sports and services. Following is a list of those fees. All fees are subject to change.

High School

At Fountain Hills High School, there are several levels of fees. For more information, contact FHHS at 664-5500 or visit the FHHS website through fhusd.org:

General Fees- These include: a yearly parking fee of $100, a locker fee of $5, and commencement fee (for seniors only) of $50. There is also a $95 AP Exam fee, per exam, for students who wish to participate.

Co-curricular Fees- These include: a $25 fee for academic decathlon, choir, band, Research Club, Robotics and Yearbook.

Extra-curricular- These include: a $50 fee for Art Club, Band Guard, Chess Club, Falcon Leadership, Jazz Band, STUGO and Teen Court.

Academic Fees- These include a $50 fee for fine and practical art classes such as 3D ceramics, AP art history, computer-aided drafting, drawing and painting, graphic design courses, health career courses and photography courses.

Science Fee-There is also a science fee of $30 per lab course.

Athletic Fees - $150 per sport and $50 for an athletic activity card, which grants admission to all regular season home athletic events.

Performing Arts- There is a $100 band school instrument fee, a $70 choir apparel fee and a $50 band apparel fee.

Key Club Fees- There is a $15 fee for returning members and a $25 fee for new members.

FHMS/Four Peaks

At the Middle School, parents will pay a fee per school sport their students participate in. Students who are on the free/reduced lunch program are also eligible for reduced fees.

The regular athletics fee is $125 per player, per sport.

There is also a $90 per year band instrument deposit for brass and woodwinds, as well as a $75 annual fee for percussion. PE uniforms are $20. There is also a co-curricular and extracurricular fee of $10 and $20, respectively, per activity.

Four Peaks Elementary School also has a $40 fee for Drama Club, a $50 fee for intramurals and $100 per year for the Success Maker Club.

The maximum amount per family is $300 per year, excluding athletics.

McDowell Mountain

At McDowell Mountain Elementary School, a handful of clubs/activities require a nominal fee. For more information, contact the school at 664-52100.

Clubs/Activities- Spanish Club students must pay $200 per year while Chess Club will cost $179 for the fall semester, with the spring semester fee to be determined at a later date. There is also a $50 per semester fee for the McDowell Mountain Robotics Club.

Charter School

Activity Fee- A $100 non-refundable fee per student is due upon registration and will be used to sustain programs such as band, orchestra, choir, clubs, science laboratory, art and reading.
