FH Dems host happy hour

The Fountain Hills Democratic Club hosted more than 50 attendees at its third Happy Hour event at HD Asian Bistro Thursday, Aug. 3.

A number of Democratic candidates were on hand to tell attendees about their platforms and plans.

Democratic Precinct Committeeperson and Club Steering Committee Co-chair Dave Long was the emcee for the evening. He introduced several speakers and candidates including John Ainlay, AZ Blue 2020; David Schapira, running for superintendent of public instruction; and Heather Ross, running for Arizona’s sixth congressional district.

FH Dems host happy hour

The Fountain Hills Democratic Club hosted more than 50 attendees at its third Happy Hour event at HD Asian Bistro Thursday, Aug. 3.

A number of Democratic candidates were on hand to tell attendees about their platforms and plans.

Democratic Precinct Committeeperson and Club Steering Committee Co-chair Dave Long was the emcee for the evening. He introduced several speakers and candidates including John Ainlay, AZ Blue 2020; David Schapira, running for superintendent of public instruction; and Heather Ross, running for Arizona’s sixth congressional district.

Other speakers included Carol Comito, who recently as elected vice president of the National Federation of Democratic Women; Ginny Dickey, first vice chair of LD23 leadership team; and Daria Lohman, candidate for Arizona state senate and secretary of LD23 leadership team.

The Fountain Hills Democratic Club’s first formal meeting is set for Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Fountain Hills Community Center. Information about club can be obtained by sending email requests to fhdemocraticclub@gmail.com, or by going to the website fhdemclub.org.
