Police have identified a couple found dead in a Fountain Hills home early Monday morning as Bryon Thomas, 72 and Mary Simmons, 70. The couple was found shot to death by Sheriff's deputies who responded to the home at the request of Scottsdale Police.
Police were on the trail of a man suspected of killing four other people since May 31. The suspect, Dwight Jones, was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound as police closed in on his hotel room in Scottsdale on Monday morning.
While the first four victims were connected to a divorce and child custody issue between Jones and his ex-wife, it is not known what connection Jones had to the Fountain Hills couple.
