Recently the Fountain Hills Rotary club celebrated its 35th anniversary. First chartered in 1980, the club has seen great changes in the town and in Rotary International.
Over the years the club has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to local and global charities and volunteered thousands of hours for various service projects in the community.
Several members showed up to a recent club meeting at Fountain View Village and had a nice time talking about the club’s history. Some of the past presidents were on hand to speak about how they got in to the club what Rotary means to them.

Several members showed up to a recent club meeting at Fountain View Village and had a nice time talking about the club’s history. Some of the past presidents were on hand to speak about how they got in to the club what Rotary means to them.
Two of the club’s charter members, Allen Poor and Ken Ulrikson spoke about how the club started so many years ago.
There is a plan to revisit the club’s anniversary in the fall when many of the club's snow birds arrive back from their summer homes.
