The Fountain Hills Women’s Club will award nine women, who are continuing their education, with scholarships at the May 15 luncheon.

The annual event will be held at Eagle Mountain Golf Club. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $20

In addition to the continuing education scholarships, the club will award two Fountain Hills High School students $500 awards.

Lina Bellenir from the First Responders Christmas Fund will give a brief talk about their program.

The club’s April fashion show was a financial success and enabled the club to award $11,500 in scholarships. Five of the recipients will be receiving an award for the second time indicating the success of the program.

This is the final luncheon of the spring season for the FHWC. Since September 2018, the club has donated $13,000 to various organizations and individuals and hopes to continue with these efforts.

Plans are to have two meet and greets in the community. The events are planned to give the club the opportunity to spread the word about its mission. Places and dates will be announced after arrangements are finalized.
