FHCCA holds Annual Meeting May 17, registration deadline Friday

The Fountain Hills Cultural and Civic Association will hold its Annual Meeting and dinner on May 17 at the Lexington Hotel. Besides a short dramatic PowerPoint presentation on its eleven active committees, the main speaker, Larry Arbanas, will deliver his talk on the subject of drones, which will also include a live demonstration of a drone in action.

Arbanas, of Earthwhile Films and Photography in Fountain Hills, will be the main speaker. Some topics covered will be: what’s the public perception of drones; how are drones making our lives better; how does security come into play and what regulations will affect drone pilots; how drones provide unique security issues and drones for recreational and commercial use.

Besides his experience with drones, Arbanas’ expertise in filming and photography is exceptional. He has shot footage or produced films for Public Broadcasting System (PBS), New York Historical Society, The Canada Museum of Nature, Maya Lin (designer of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C.), the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Audubon Society and The Humane Society.
