The Fountain Hills Chapter of the Family History Society of Arizona (FHSA) will resume its normal genealogy meetings Monday, Sept 11.
The group will meet at the Community Center, 13001 N. La Montana. They will meet in the Navajo Room starting at 9 a.m.
The meeting will share chapter and organization news and updates, including introduction of new members. Annual dues will be for the balance of the 2017 year for new members.
The meeting will give members an opportunity to share accomplishments over the summer, either from trips or local finds. Two members went to Europe while other members traveled to various states and/or provinces to see family and further their research.
The Fountain Hills Chapter of the FHSA meets every month from September through May on the second Monday of each month. Meetings, unless otherwise published, are at the Community Center.
Everyone is invited to attend, and mentors are always happy to assist beginners in family research. Bring questions and concerns. Learn how to begin, how to understand some of your findings, ask about genealogy programs or what to do if have you hit a brick wall. Arrangements can be made for follow up meetings if there is not enough time to fully resolve an issue.
After the meeting, some members will meet at a local restaurant for a no host lunch.
