We are concluding the most unprecedented school year in Fountain Hills history!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our students, faculty, parents and the community for remaining “Falcon Strong” as we navigated through these uncertain times.

I would also like to congratulate the class of 2020 for realizing that the end of their senior year was reconfigured rather than canceled. Your high school career may not have finished the way you hoped, looked forward to, or anticipated. The School Board was extremely pleased how FHHS graduates ended the school year with determination, acceptance, flexibility and grace.

As we look forward to the 2020-21 school year, we will excitedly experience many changes, especially with our administration.

Dr. Rob Allen has been an amazing blessing to our district. He will be transitioning from superintendent to our executive director of finance. This position, as he officially retires as superintendent, will enable him to enjoy more time with his family while at the same time serve our district. We couldn’t be more pleased Dr. Allen continues to desire to serve our district.

Dr. Jagodzinski loyally served as our high school principal for the past four years. Mr. Carrick served three years in our district and completed his last two years as our middle school principal. I would like to thank both of these gentlemen for making a significant difference in our district and having a profound impact on our students. These talented men have introduced many great ideas and new programs to FHUSD.

We are pleased that FHUSD, given our small size, served as a launching pad for Dr. Jagodzinski’s and Mr. Carrick’s careers, and they will be dearly missed. We have been fortunate that several past administrators have departed FHUSD to expand their careers only to return later in new roles.

Given our supportive Town of Fountain Hills, I am confident our community will continue to embrace FHUSD and the new administration and teachers that will be joining us for the next school year. We look forward to continued advancement and success with new people, ideas and programs.

As we experience in our personal lives, change is often uncomfortable. But, when we look back, we see that change has often fueled us to be better individuals for ourselves and society. Change usually produces growth and growth helps us to reach our maximum potential. Looking forward to the future Fountain Hills Unified School District! Stay “Falcon Strong!”
