Fountain Hills Fire Department is beginning its annual fire safety inspections at local businesses.
“(We are) dedicated to reducing fire losses in businesses through the Fire Safety Survey Program,” said Assistant Chief/Fire Marshal Jason Payne. “The main purpose of this program is to assist business owners and occupants in identifying and correcting common occurring fire and life safety hazards.”
Additionally the program allows firefighters to familiarize themselves with specific situations unique to commercial occupancies, such as layout of the businesses, hazards, and construction types.

Most importantly this program protects the citizens of Fountain Hills and their property from the threat of fire, according to Payne.
The firefighters conducting these inspections will provide business owners with written verification that the annual safety survey has been conducted and identify any target hazards that might need to be addressed for safety.
Anyone with additional questions or seeking more information may contact Payne at 480-816-5114 or email jpayne@fh.az.gov.
