Fireworks and fun for local Fourth events

Make a fashion statement by wearing red, white and blue outfits to the town’s “Fourth at the Fountain,” from 6 to 10 p.m. Monday, July 4, in Fountain Park.
No admission will be charged; no alcoholic beverages will be sold or are allowed in the park.
Children’s activities will include a large slide, monster obstacle course and a rock-climbing wall, according to the latest update from town tourism coordinator Grace Rodman-Guetter.
A disc jockey will play music for dancing, followed by games and prizes. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets. Guests are welcome to bring Frisbees, balls and other recreational lawn games. No personal fireworks or sparklers will be allowed.
Fireworks will close out the evening at 9 p.m. Pets should be left at home.
Food trucks will sell a variety of picnic foods. The vendors will be Emerson Fry Bread, Wandering Donkey, Circle R Farms (barbecue), Frosted Frenzy Cupcakes, Burgers Amore, Fountain Hills Water and Ice and Liquid Assets.

Fort McDowell
Country pop artist John Michael Montgomery will perform at Fort McDowell at 8 p.m. Monday, July 4.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. for the outdoor concert. Fireworks are scheduled after the show. Ticket prices start at $15 in the casino gift shop or Ticketmaster.com.
