First steps in plaza conversion have begun in Fountain Hills

Demolition of site slated for Sprouts Farmer’s Market

Demolition began this week at the far east end of the Four Peaks Plaza in Fountain Hills in what is proposed to be a major redevelopment project in the town.

The site being cleared is planned for construction of a 23,000-square-foot Sprouts Farmer’s Market to anchor the east side of the plaza where the Target store is the main tenant at this time. The portion of the plaza being demolished previously housed the Streets of New York restaurant and a Subway sandwich shop.

According to Town of Fountain Hills Economic Development Director Amanda Jacobs, the demolition permit has been issued, but the developer, Sandor, is still working on a site plan for the store which needs to be complete before additional permitting is cleared.
