Flags and more

Thank you to all that organized the Flags for the Fallen project at the Memorial Day service at Fountain Park.

I had the opportunity to walk by the display shortly after it was completed and was moved by the representation by each flag of all those who gave their lives in Afghanistan for our great country since September 11, 2001.

Great job to all those that participated and contributed the time and effort to share such an important message for all that attended. Special mention to Bill Beamish and all the Four Peaks Rotary Club members which, according to The Times article, were the main organizers.

Also thank you to the VFW, American Legion and AMVETS posts for their hard work. Very well done!
