Bill Beamish, Four Peaks Rotary Club president, headed the Flags for the Fallen project with perfection!
This display at Fountain Park, near our Veterans Memorial, was a beautiful tribute to each service member who died during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. The display, with every state flag and smaller American flags, was erected on Monday morning, May 26, by several volunteers and under the leadership of Bill Beamish.
In addition, a display of the World Trade Center before the 9/11 attack and pictures and a storyline of the attack were also depicted. Another display of the attack on Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941, was also erected and a lesson on what happened before the start of WWII.

These tributes were taken down on the evening of Memorial Day, so if you missed it, you missed an extraordinary act of love of country by Four Peaks Rotary and all the volunteers.
Let’s be ready to volunteer and support Four Peaks Rotary next Memorial Day in recreating this tribute!
