The remnants of Hurricane Newton are expected to push enough moisture into the state to trigger significant widespread rain and thunderstorm. The chance of rain in Fountain Hills begins with a 40 percent chance tonight increasing to 50 percent by morning and 60 percent Wednesday afternoon.
The rain tapers off to 30 percent late Wednesday into Thursday.
The forecast does not project significant wind with this storm – no more than about 10 miles per hour.
