There are about seven square miles of watershed in the western part of Fountain Hills. There are several major wash channels that collect rainwater that falls in the McDowell Mountains and send it toward the Verde River. Three of those washes, Ashbrook, Bristol and Cloudburst come together where Golden Eagle Park was built.
