Flood control work ongoing at Golden Eagle Park in Fountain Hills

Current phase of nears completion

Visitors to Golden Eagle Park in Fountain Hills recently could not help but notice there is a lot of dirt being moved around and concrete being poured throughout the park.

In January, B4 Enterprises was awarded a professional services agreement for $2.4 million in improvements to the flood control detention basin that includes the park. Wood Patel & Associates is the construction manager for the work.

Town of Fountain Hills Public Works Director Justin Weldy said recently that the contractor had asked for a brief time extension, but the work should be wrapped up by June 30, the end of the current fiscal year so none of the current work should extend into the next fiscal year.
