Washington Federal would like to invite you to participate in our Food and School Supplies Drive to support our community again this summer. All donations will go to The Extended Hands Food Bank in Fountain Hills.

This year we are adding schools supplies, which will go to our local schools. We are collecting until Sept. 3. Some of the most-needed food items include peanut butter, jelly, mac and cheese, cereal and canned vegetables.

We want to give a shout out to some of our wonderful local businesses who have volunteered to support us by placing fliers in their facilities and collecting donations. CVS on Palisades has one of our boxes at their entrance, Creative Child Care has a donation box in their facility, Kay Kinder Fashions is collecting donations and Fountain Hills Chamber’s Wednesday morning Elite Leads Group, a group of small businesses in Fountain Hills, has taken on a challenge of collecting donations for our community drive.

The team at the bank will pick up any donations dropped off at other businesses to ensure we get everything donated to Extended Hands. Or you can bring your donations to Washington Federal. If any other small businesses are interested in collecting donations and would like us to drop off a box or fliers, please feel free to contact me at kay.vinson@wafd.com.

We all know that the summer can be hard on a lot of families in the community. Washington Federal is a strong supporter of our local community and we want to thank you for all your support to help us fill the shelves for our Extended Hands Food Bank.
