Extended Hands Food Bank would like to offer their heartfelt thanks and appreciation for a very successful food drive last weekend. The response was overwhelming as about 10 tons of food was donated in one day. A special thanks also to all the dedicated postal carriers that picked it up and trucked it back to the post office so we could load it on our trucks.
This food will almost take us through the next months of summer. Many families right here in our local community will benefit from the generosity of so many.
Also, coming in the next weeks is a special effort of our two local Rotary Clubs in cooperation with our local Bashas’ store. Coupons will be distributed through the food bank and families will be able to receive a free gallon on milk all summer long, or as long as the program lasts.

Again, Extended Hands Food Bank is a community effort. Without the help of everyone we would not be able to supply much-needed food, especially to children and the elderly.
We will soon complete our 12th year of operation and, with your support, we can continue to serve this great community.
Thanks also for the successful diaper drive.
As many of you know, one of our faithful volunteers has met with a very tragic accident. It has been a long three weeks since it happened. Our hearts go out to Gale Konop and his wonderful family. All of our volunteers feel the loss and pain this accident has caused.
