Now is the perfect time to clear library overdue fines.
The Maricopa County Library District’s annual “Food for Fines” program is ongoing and continues through Saturday, July 15. The program allows library customers to bring in non-perishable food items to the library. One non-perishable food item equals $2 in waived fines. Each account can have up to $50 waived.
The donations go to Extended Hands Food Bank. All library patrons are invited to participate; bring non-perishable items even if you don’t owe a fine. The donation will help waive overdue fines on a child’s account.
