Food Pack

New Journey Lutheran Church and the Church of the Ascension, hosts of the Fountain Hills Community Food Pack for “Food for Kidz,” want to thank all the volunteers that participated in the Food Pack this year. Because of the generous donations of time and money we were able to pack 80,000 meals for distribution to Extended Hands, AZ Brainfood, Grace in the City, St. Vincent De Paul and the Navajo Mission in Rock Point, AZ.

About 300 volunteers of all ages worked two and a half hours and enjoyed a community spirit to accomplish this. This is the sixth year of the Food Pack and, during this time, we reached the quarter million mark of meals packed. Mayor Kavanagh accepted the ceremonial package representing this milestone.

Thanks again to all that participated and plan ahead to do it all again next year.
