Football
The football squad kicked off the state tournament in Coolidge last Saturday, taking on the Bears in the opening round. Up 34-12 late in the game, a pair of unfortunate turnovers swung the game in Coolidge's favor, leading to a 34-34 score by the end of the fourth quarter. Coolidge managed to land a field goal in overtime, nudging past the Falcons, 37-34. This loss brought the 2013 season to a close for the local squad.

Football, cross country wrap the post season

Cross country
The cross country team hit the road to Cave Creek Golf Course last Saturday, Nov. 9, to take part in the state race. Competing against the best teams in Division III, Section III, the girls came away with a 10th place overall finish with the boys ending the season at 13th. The highest flying Falcon was Sierra Jarriel, taking fourth overall for the girls.
