Five Falcons from the Fountain Hills High School football team earned 3A all-state recognition for their performances this past fall, including Ahmed Momoh and Boden Davidson on second team, as well as Collin Robbins, Hafeez Momoh and Caden Poole with honorable mentions.

Ahmed Momoh played strong safety while Boden was named as a kick returner. Collin Robbins was recognized as a defensive end, Hafeez Momoh for offensive line and Caden Poole as a cornerback.

Ahmed Momoh was also named Player of the Year for the 3A Metro East Region while Jason Henslin earned recognition as Region Coach of the Year for the second year in row.

“To me, the Coach of the Year award reflects the staff I’ve put together and the level of effort the players have put in,” Henslin said. “Starting with my brother, defensive coordinator and associate head coach, Jordan Henslin, I feel we have some of the best coaches in the state of Arizona.”

Looking ahead, Henslin said that the Falcon football program continues, and will continue, to see improvement.

“With our young core of dynamic players now having a year of varsity experience, we feel like we are going to take a huge step forward next season,” he added.

Henslin noted that the Falcons also had 10 players earn all-region honors for the 3A Metro East Region this season, beginning with the five all-state players earning first team recognition at the regional level. Also recognized were Braden Wendt (DB), Bobby Tegland (DE) and Cole Lupien (LB) for second team, with Darien Redendo (CB) and Leyton Kauffman (DL) both earning honorable mentions.
